Pommard 1er Cru Les Chaponnieres

Generous, with good substance and a balanced structure around fleshy, gourmand fruit. Spicy on the nose, with raspberry and cherry and a touch of liquorice, rich in the mouth, with elegant, velvety tannins and good length. It spends 14 to 16 months in French oak barrels, 30 to 40% new, which reinforces that spice and length without overwhelming the fruit.
